Indian Rainforest Marble

Indian Rainforest Marble is quarried in a bedrock quarry near village Bidasar, in the district of Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The Rainforest Marble Slab is very strong and durable when compared to others in the industry and usually requires marble machinery to cut it into dimensional pieces and elevated the flawless glossy look. Nonetheless, it still contemplates to its soft nature and can be affected by scratches or abrasion at the same time.

Besides that, the characteristics of the Indian Rainforest Marble in terms of veining and textures will vary upon quarry and the type of stone extracted. And so, there can be perceptible variation in terms of colour pattern.

Hence, we strongly recommend that you consider looking for the pattern before finalizing your purchase.

The Indian Rainforest Marble is always transformed into book-matched, meaning that the slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror like image of each other. Although it may vary at times but these are generally kept in sequence to heed the pattern flow. Another popular characteristic of the Indian Rainforest Marble is it always having voids in the raw material.

Additionally, before it reaches the polishing stage the voids are filled with polyester resin and depending how deep the void is, it resin shrink dries leaving the rest of the are slightly lower than the rest. It doesn’t affect the resistance, aesthetics and durability of the stone.

The Indian Rainforest Marble has properties such as acid resistance and good water/alkali. However, it is always advised to seal it so it doesn’t affect its endurance. It is one-of-its-kind marble with graceful colours and patterns and is mostly used in Countertops, Vanity Tops, Table-Tops, Wall Cladding, and many other artefacts.

Indian Rainforest Marble is praised for its longevity and elegance and comes specifically in three colours such as Brown, Green and Golden.

The Indian Rainforest Marble is minorly porous and ranges between 0.2% to 4%. It is thermally high-stable. It doesn’t adapt to any changes or weathering from temperature or from air borne chemicals. Additionally, it can withstand even the most submissive chemical erosion which makes it useful for making commodities to store caustic material.

Variegation –

Indian Rainforest Marble shows persistence in colour, texture and patterns. It is one of the hardest building stones and lends excellent buildup quality. It is composed of quartz and orthoclase or microline, while the principle components for the fireplaces consists of Feldspar, Quartz & Biotite.

It’s also important to consider that the composition beholds varies and may result in change of colour, texture or pattern to the ultimate product. Feldspar varies between 65-90%, Quartz from 10-60% and Biotite lies between 10-15% and this is the result that we see numerous colour variations in the Indian Natural Rainforest Marble.
